🍂 Reset de la chambre de bébé : 6 astuces pour une rentrée sereine

🍂 Baby room reset: 6 tips for a stress-free start to the school year

September is a bit like the new January for mothers.
After summer, holidays, and the gentle chaos of slowed-down life, returning to the nanny, daycare, or preschool deserves a little reset… and it starts in the baby's room 💫

I offer you 6 simple and practical tips to organize a functional, soft and soothing space , so you can start the new school year off on the right foot (even on busy mornings 😉).

👕 1. Prepare outfits in advance

No more mornings spent turning drawers in search of that clean bodysuit or those pants that fit.
Prepare the outfits for the week on Sunday evening , in baskets or bags marked "Monday", "Tuesday", etc. (or simply 5 small hangers).
👉 You can even assemble the clothes into sets so you only have to pick one each morning.

Benefits: peace of mind, time saved, and baby dressed without stress.

🧻 2. Stock up on essentials

We often forget that refills of nappies, tissues or wipes can quickly run out…
In September, remember to stock up on essential items :

  • Diapers (and check that the size is still correct)

  • Cotton balls, wipes

  • Physiological saline

  • Daily creams or treatments

  • Small tissues for the nursery bag

A dedicated drawer or basket makes these essentials accessible at a glance.

📏 3. Check sizes (and plan for autumn-winter)

Before the first chills of autumn arrive, it's time to sort through summer clothes and take stock of what's needed for the fall:

  • Long-sleeved bodysuits?

  • Velvet trousers?

  • Socks, slippers, vests?

  • A jumpsuit or a warm sleeping bag?
Remember to check the next size up if your baby is between two ages, to avoid a last-minute rush in October!

🧺 4. Rethink the organization according to one's age

A baby starting nursery or school gains independence. Why not rearrange the furniture and spaces to encourage this?

  • A shelf at his height for his books or toys

  • A small bin for morning shoes

  • A "nursery bag / cuddly toy / pacifier" box that's always ready

The clearer the environment, the more fluid the rituals.

📦 5. Sorting

This is the perfect time to do some decluttering:
🍼 Bottles no longer used? Teats forgotten?
🧸 Toys for babies who are too young? Torn books?
🧦 Socks without a pair? We declutter to lighten the space and the mind.

Why not create a "donation" box, or set aside what you want to keep for a future baby?

🎀 6. Add a touch of soft and personalized decor

After all that tidying up, it's time for some pampering ✨
A few well-chosen details can create a reassuring cocoon for the start of the new school year.
And what could be more symbolic than personalized decor, reflecting your child's personality?

At Chou Rose , I imagined:

💫 Sweet and poetic creations, made with love, to make his room a little refuge all his own .

And you, are you resetting your room for the start of the school year?

This little ritual has become a habit of ours that I love. It helps us plan ahead, anticipate busy mornings , and create a reassuring environment for the baby.
And between us… it feels good for us moms too 🫶

Tell me in the comments (or by message) if you're also doing a big back-to-school clean-up, or if you have a particular ritual at this time of year ✨
